Google has partnered with some excellent artists that now allow you to personalize your Google home page. What I think is interesting is that Google is showcasing these artists on their home page……

“Now you can put the work of world-class artists and innovators on your personalized Google homepage. Then add your choice of news, email, games, and more for a page that’s as useful as it is beautiful.”

Today’s artist is Jeff Koons. Jeff is an American artist that burst onto the international art scene in the 1980s. He creates iconic work such as Michael Jackson and Bubbles, Rabbit, and Puppy. He is exhibited throughout the world.

I like designer, Todd Oldham’s image; colorful and contemporary. Now if they could just make WordPress themes too we would be in business.

St. Louis was voted as having the best water in the United States, so why does it still taste gross to me? I’m sorry but I refuse to drink tap water when there is perfectly great tasting bottled water at my local grocery store. I swear I can tell the difference. My husband refuses to believe that there is a difference, however, and we go round and round about how much money we spend on bottled water when we can drink it for free (sort of) from the tap.

Well, I got news for hubby……….

“You might have seen the article in your local paper last week: AP Probe Finds Drugs in Drinking Water or Drugs in Your Drinking Water. The Associated Press National Investigative Team found pain killers, hormones, psychotropics, bronchial dilators, antibiotics, and even veterinary medications in 24 major metropolitan areas out of only 28 water providers tested (although 62 were contacted).”

Unfortunately, there is no legal standard for testing bottled water, but the The EPA’s Bottle Water Basics is a helpful guide to buying clean water and if you are throwing away unused medications, Health Patio also mentions putting them in a plastic bag with coffee grounds or kitty litter as they absorb the chemicals and prevent them from leaking into the groundwater.

Okay, I’m off my soapbox about chemicals in our water, I think I’ll go make some popcorn and watch Erin Brokovich.

Just when I thought I had seen it all…….

“A Toronto man has been the first to get an eyeball tattoo. Basically, he has turned the whites of his eyes blue.”

Evidently, corneal tattooing is usually used for patients that have had trauma to their eyes and not for this. This guy took 40 injections of blue ink injected into his eye for this form of body modification.

My question is, why?
