They Eyes Have It

Just when I thought I had seen it all…….
“A Toronto man has been the first to get an eyeball tattoo. Basically, he has turned the whites of his eyes blue.”
Evidently, corneal tattooing is usually used for patients that have had trauma to their eyes and not for this. This guy took 40 injections of blue ink injected into his eye for this form of body modification.
My question is, why?

That’s just weird..and a bit creepy. I mean if i see him walking down the street with blue eyes… how do you not stare at that? lol
Probably he wanted to look like a freeman from the Dune novel by Frank Herbert. They had blue eyes due to the consumption of a certain spice/drug. That’s the most likely theory as the book is pretty well known and as far as i know the only one which mentions completely blue eyes.
Yeah, I agree with Cronco. He more than likely just wanted to look like a Fremen. In the Dune series people on that planet’s eyes turned completely blue due to the massive quantities of spice present in their everyday lives. Its like a drug, but its everywhere on that planet, so they cant help but consume it.
Kinda cool that he did this, but totally geeky at the same time. Lol
Well, its supposed to be a painless procedure since there are no nerve endings in the whites of your eyes.

You are always conscious during eye tattoo procedures (two more have been done since him). According to them, they don’t feel anything!
It looks pretty cool, I think. But…wouldn’t it be painful? One of my friends was trying to explain that there’s a layer in the eye that doesn’t have nerve receptors or some such. But still… *shivers*
