Place Your Starbucks Order On Your iPhone
Phil Lu from Genoco, has developed an incredible application for the iPhone that allows users to place their favorite Starbucks drink order without having to wait in line. Purely genius. Evidently, you can even use the “QuickPay” application as well, to pay for it. Just show the scan picture below to the barista and you are good to go. Unbelievable.

Now, I don’t own an iPhone. I have a Blackberry. The iPhone had not been released when I got my cell phone so I am stuck in a two year contract for a while but what I wouldn’t give for them to develop something like this for the Blackberry. The iPhone gets all the fun stuff.

That’s kind of cool, and kind of, um, something else. Maybe creepy. For some reason it scares me a little. Maybe it’s the fact that there is evidently a need to “phone” in a cup of coffee, or the fact that it just gets us one step close to that Star Trek technology where we touch the little emblem on our chest and speak into the air, and a computer someplace beams us a cup of coffee.
Although that would be kind of cool, too.

I wanna order a skinny latter extra shot on my phone! Will it be delivered by a hunky guy wearing nothing but a towel….. I think I need to go and get some coffee.
