Toxic Flip Flops At Walmart

feet.jpgI shop at Walmart every once in a while. It does save money when it comes to some things and to be quite honest, a family of 6 makes for huge grocery bills. But when I saw this picture, on Lisa’s blog, of this poor gal who purchased a cheap pair of flip flops from Walmart that litterally poisoned her feet, I realized there is some truth to the old saying “you get what you pay for”.

Evidently, this picture doesn’t even show the worst of what happened to her feet and seven months later she has major scarring. She has a picture on her blog that shows the flip flops she bought. Check it out. Sounds like a lawsuit to me!

Ugh. You know, at some point she should have just gone to a doctor rather than documenting everything for the lawsuit…

Every time I got to WalMart I actually expect to come out with some sort of bacterial infection. I imagine that makes me partially liable if I ever ended up in court.

Ack… definitely grim. I am not surprised by their telling her to take it up with the manufacturer but it still seems a bit shabby to me!

She did go to the doctor to get treatment for the scars. It was really repulsive and to think that no one would even acknowledge that this was happening is sad. I hope she and all of the others who were affected by this sue Wal-mart.

Holy crap! That’s just outrageous! Wal-Mart “the savings place” really is just about the money.

Oh Gods….how horrible and really nasty looking…never buying flip flops from Wal Mart again…

Is she the only one that happened to? Why haven’t we heard about all the little kids who buy their flip flops from there? Curious that there isn’t an epidemic!
