Halloween Tampon Craft

ghost.jpgI’m not really a big fan of Halloween. I let my kids get dressed up and go trick or treating but you won’t see me decorating my house in ghosts and spiders throughout the month of October. It’s just not my thing. I do, however, love to laugh and these Halloween decorations, made from unused tampons, made me chuckle when I read about how to make these cute little ghosts.

Evidently, White Trash Mom was feeling a bit ornery when she wrote this post……….

“I would love to whip out a box of light flow Tampex tampons and begin a craft using these Tampons of Terror! Wouldn’t it be GREAT to see the look on the faces of the muffia mommies if you made ghosts for the class using TAMPONS?”

Ok, seriously, this would probably put me over the edge with laughter if some poor unsuspecting mother came in to her darling daughter’s class for the Halloween party and saw these “tampons of terror” in her child’s goodie bag! I might just laugh myself all the way to the drug store for a box.

Just something fun to do over the weekend. TGIF

  2. That is the wierdest most ingenious idea..LOL I love it. :)

  3. I thought so too! My teenage boys would be horrified and that would crack me up even more!

  4. That is too darn funny… can’t wait to pass the idea along. :)

  5. Hi Jen-thanks for coming by. I checked out your blog. It’s great! I can’t wait to see how the delivery goes.

  6. Oh my Gosh!! This is just too hilarious!! I absolutely love Halloween and go a bit overboard decorating but I don’t know that I have the nerve for these even though they are belly laughing fun!

  7. We just finished putting up all our halloween stickers on the door; pumpkins are on the porch ready to be carved. And now these - I’m so itching to make them, but honestly, it would make my life too difficult to try to get through all that ’splaining I’d have to do to the kidlets.
    SO FUNNY!

  8. funny I wouldn’t have thought of that one

  9. Nice…is this the craft I was invited to do with the kids?

Fortunately (for them), we don’t have kids. I am saving up for their therapy though. Fingers crossed.

  10. That’s a pretty weird idea haha but funny :P

  11. Joe- yes, I knew you’d have something to say that would in turn crack me up and of course, you have yet to disappoint. Thanks for stopping by! LLLLLOL

  12. That’s hysterical!

  13. Those are great! I’m tempted to make some, hang them up and then wait to see how long it takes my husband to figure it out ;-)

  14. Oooooo, if you do that, you have to let us know how it turned out.

  15. Tampon ghosts… quite interesting.

They work well for nosebleeds also…heh

    ;p

  16. I love this idea!

And you could make little Christmas Snowmen too, and hang them on the tree - see how long before someone figures it out!

  17. “Christmas Snowmen” now that is funny!

  18. I almost fell off my chair when I saw that.

Panty liners also make great Santa beards. My son could barely contain his excitement when he came out of the bathroom with a beard just like Santa.

Too bad I talking at the door with the UPS guy at the time.

  19. Oh my gosh, that is hilarious! I bet the UPS guy had a good laugh. He probably doesn’t see that every day. LOL

  20. You’re right, this is a perfect craft to go with the Halloween Tree! I love it! Oh my, what people won’t think of next.

  21. You do have to wonder just how long it would take some people to figure out just what they were!!!

  22. Holy Crap! I love it. I’m doing that will my girls asap… by the way, I love how you specify “unused” tampons. Frickin’ hysterical!

  23. Thanks for the shout out for the Tampons of Terror and the WT Mom blog. I will let you know when we roll out the rest of the HOLIDAY decorating with feminine protection. Thanks again and you have a new fan here! Love your blog.

  24. I love it, and when you get them wet, they float! LOL, someone has taken their creative urge just a little too far.

  25. Funny, you would even be able to have a whole family of ghosts, the big daddy ghost, the thinner Mommy ghost and the little tiny ghostlets all according to which size you use.

  26. That would truly be terrifying. Tampon ghosts floating in the toilet. hahahahahahahhahah
